My Purple Finger
Ok, I'm starting this blog now and I guess the first thing I should do is to explain its title...
It's not a long story: I'm now starting my masters in Marine Biodiversity and Consevation in the beautifull city of Gent in Belgium and being Portuguese, the hardest part of the adaptation process has got to be the weather! All the cold and rain are as bad, here in September, as they are in Portugal in mid Winter!!! So, how does this relates to my finger? Well, I had an accident a couple of years ago and I lost the very tip of my left ring finger, so whenever the temperature drops below fifteen degrees or so, my finger turns purple! As this is a dedicated blog for my staying in Gent, I wanted to choose a name representing something that only occurs here and as you might be guessing, my finger goes purple a lot of times!!
Having said that, I will now try to tell you what to expect from the contents of this blog. I'm actually not sure on this but I suppose you can count on it to have stories about by staying here: fiction, non-fiction and both, wonders, frustrations ( I get easily angry..), perhaps photos, movies, music... and others.
